Standard Equipment:
The CHEM-STOR Prefabricated Modular Storage Building line has been manufactured and sold since 1985. Our Turnkey Prefabricated Modular Storage Buildings are designed for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The Products adhere to California’s Senate Bill (SB) 283, the Clean Energy Safety Act of 2025.
Our solution will meet local jurisdiction requirements by improving your safety standards for battery energy storage. In addition these prefabricated products adhere to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 855 standards. The bill mandates consultation with local fire officials during the permitting process, requires safety inspections before operation, and prohibits BESS development in combustible buildings, ensuring accountability and protecting communities. Batteries are placed in these Fire Rated Storage Buildings outside or inside your existing facility.
Products are available with California State Approval. The buildings are inspected at the Factory and a State Issued HCD Insignia is applied prior to shipment to your facility. CHEM-STOR Turnkey buildings are prefabricated and arrive completely wired and ready to use upon installation at your facility, eliminating the need to permit traditional building from the ground up. Lead Times are as quick as 60 Days to installation of your Compliant Battery Energy Storage System.
Options:
Products are available with Temperature Control, Vapor Detection, Fire Suppression Systems, Interior LED Lighting, Exhaust Systems and many more options. The buildings are Engineered with Structural Support to Seismically Anchor your Battery Cabinets. All units have Secondary Containment to prevent Water Sprinkler Flow or Hazardous Materials from contaminating the surrounding area, Meeting EPA and OSHA Standards.

Available Sizes
We offer prefabricated modular energy storage buildings in a wide range of sizes to fit your specific application.
We offer modules as large as 50’ long x 12’ wide, and as small as 6’ long x 6’ high, with interior heights up to 10’ AFF. Additional modules can be added or connected to expand system capacity as needed.
